Today was my first day back in the Whistler Bike Park in over 14 years! The last time I rode I was a bit traumatized because I had a pretty bad crash. So I really can’t believe I finally did it… and got myself back on a downhill mountain bike! To be honest I forgot how much I loved this sport. Didn’t really expect to love it when I went again, but it felt so amazing!

Today’s British Columbia travel vlog shares what it’s like to go off-roading in Whistler, Canada! This was my first time ever driving a 4×4 off-road buggy, and if you are a bit of an adrenaline junkie like me.. this is the experience for you! I booked through Canadian Wilderness Adventures, who also have a ton of other summer and winter activities available. They do things like snowmobiling, ATV tours, dog sledding, and more. Highly recommend booking a tour with them if you are thinking of doing any adventure activities while visiting Whistler!

As I’ve been filming my Whistler travel series, it has been a priority for me to share experiences you can have outside skiing and mountain biking. Skiing and biking are both fantastic activities, but Whistler really does have so much more to offer!

Fly Fishing is something I never thought I’d end up trying, but my recent trip to Whistler, Canada opened my eyes to the world of freshwater fly fishing!

I booked my fly fishing tour with Pemberton Fish Finder, and I highly recommend booking through them! Our tour guide’s name was Brad, and he was such a fun and engaging guide. I find guides can really make or break an experience, and Brad was not only a fantastic teacher… but a super fun person to hang out with for the day.

Pemberton Fish Finder is located in Pemberton (obviously, lol) which is about a 45 minute drive from Whistler! It is definitely worth the drive to have this once in a lifetime fly fishing experience. Even if you don’t catch a fish, the day on the river is worth it in itself. Pemberton fly fishing is a totally unique adventure, and I can’t wait to go again!

So thrilled to be back for another Canadian travel series here in Whistler, British Columbia! Whistler is the perfect place for a summer vacation, and over my next few vlogs I am going share my favourite warm-weather activities. Whistler is best known for skiing and downhill mountain biking, but there is actually an impressively diverse range of activities available at this famous Canadian resort. I’ve teamed up with Tourism Whistler to share some of the best things you can do this summer in Whistler!

This Canadian travel vlog starts out with something I honestly never thought I’d try… Ziplining! The team at Superfly Ziplines boasts one of the world’s most spectacular ziplines, and I had the opportunity to try it out first hand. Let me tell you, I am not one for heights (watch the full vlog to see me freak out lol) and this was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! Highly recommend if you are ever in Whistler and want to do something different.

Later in the day we visit one of my favourite lakes in Whistler, Alta Lake! I have spent many days here enjoying the afternoon sun, and today was no different. It’s a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy a view of Whistler Blackcomb!

Summer in Vancouver, Canada is my favourite time of year! Winter is very long and quite frankly dark here in Vancity, so when the weather warms up and the sun starts to shine.. we have to take advantage! 

Putting together cute looks for the beach is a pretty major highlight for me. I like to keep my outfits relatively simple if I’m planning on having a beach day. Usually just a swimsuit and some sort of coverup. To make sure things are simple but not boring, I always spice up a simple beach look with my jewellery! 

My mom didn’t let me get my ears pierced when I was a child, and I didn’t end up doing it myself until I was about 21 years old lol! So it still makes me ridiculously happy to rock earrings every damn day!

Hence, earrings are always the way to go for me. I love hoops, and more specifically, huggies! I actually just started wearing some huggie earrings for the first time this summer and I am obsessed. They are a more subtle look than a regular hoop, and I think they are really youthful and fun. 

The brand AU-Rate has a really great selection of huggie earrings, especially in gold! I’ve been on their website nonstop lately and have a bunch in my cart I’d like to order. I also love Oak and Fort. They are a pretty major go-to for me when it comes to affordable but beautiful jewellery. If you want to get fancy with things, Birks has some super cute huggies as well! I own a number of pairs of earrings from Birks and they are super high quality. Free People is another brand I really like to get my summer jewellery from. They have more of a boho vibe, which is great for the beach.

Vancouver, Canada is one of the most unique cities in the world. Today’s Vancouver travel vlog shares some of the more special places you can visit when traveling Vancity! As a born and raised Vancouverite, I happen to know a thing or two about this famous Canadian city and feel so proud to show it off in today’s vlog!

We start this Vancouver day off by renting scooters! This was admittedly a first for me (at least in Vancouver), and it was SO worth it. We rented scooters from the team at CycleBC and it cost about $15/hr or $65 all day to rent a scooter. Super fun way to experience the city through a bit of a different lens.

Next up my friend Laura Reid and I cooled off with a nice beer at a local brewery. The brewery scene in Vancouver is huge, and we decided to visit a favourite of ours called Electric Bicycle. The grilled cheese is such a good combo with pretty much any of their beers!

This Vancouver travel vlog ends in the most typical way possible… a sunset at Sunset Beach! Sunset beach has been named very appropriately, as it truly is the best spot to end the day in the city. I always recommend bringing a picnic and a blanket, and settling in for a cozy night.

One of my favourite parts of traveling BC is the journey to the destination. So today’s travel vlog shares the best things to see when driving from Penticton to Vancouver, British Columbia. I’ve done this drive about a million times, and never actually taken the time to stop and enjoy some of the sights along the way.

If you have never driven between Vancouver and the Okanagan, I highly recommend making the time to do the trip! The drive is truly beautiful and something you need to experience at least once 🙂

Penticton, British Columbia is somewhere I have been visiting since I was a small child. Penticton is a city in the Okanagan Valley of the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada, situated between Okanagan and Skaha lakes. My family and I used to visit every summer and stay at a small motel right on Skaha lake. So for today’s Canadian travel vlog I wanted to revisit this beautiful place in BC.

My friend Mia and I decided that glamping in the mountains above Penticton city was the best way to go! And we were NOT disappointed. We rented out the cutest little hut, that was decked out with mattresses and a fire pit. It was very basic but it was all we needed. There is something so special about being out in nature and this was definitely the best setup we could have asked for.

Overall we had a great first day in Penticton. The Okanogan is an amazing place to travel in BC during the summer time, as it is renowned for it’s really hot weather. Didn’t have much sun on our first day… but here’s to hoping day two brings a little more sunshine!

Welcome back to another beautiful day on Hornby Island! My friend Aneta Michniak and I have been staying at a spot called Fossil Beach Farm. It’s set up as a “glamping” site, and your tents are located literally right on the beach. Staying at Fossil Beach has been one of my favourite experiences I’ve had to date… A very unique way to experience the island.

In today’s Canadian travel vlog, we visit Tribune Bay Beach and Helliwell Provincial Park (for a second time!) Tribune Bay Beach is famously known as the “little Hawaii” of Canada because of the immaculate white sand and blue water. It was pretty chilly when we visited first thing in the morning, but I definitely can imagine how incredible it would be on a sunny hot day.

We also made the decision to go back to Helliwell Provincial Park to walk around the whole thing! The first time we visited Helliwell we got so caught up exploring the area closest to the parking lot, we missed out on most of the park. Give yourself at least half a day to visit Helliwell if you decide to go 🙂

This is my last day visiting Hornby Island, and I am so sad to be leaving! Highly recommend booking minimum 3 nights if you are planning a trip, as it takes quite a while to get there and you want to maximize your time on the island itself. Another tip would be to pack in your own food & wine because the local co-op has very limited hours during this time. And finally… have FUN! Hornby is a beautiful place to visit and I cannot wait to go back.

Welcome to Hornby Island! Hornby Island is famously known as Canada’s “little Hawaii,” so I absolutely had to go and see what it was all about for myself. This tiny island takes about 5-6 hours to get to from the city of Vancouver, and requires a bit of planning to make sure you have a successful first trip.

Starting off in Horseshoe Bay, my friend Aneta and I took our first of three ferries to Nanaimo. After you arrive in Nanaimo, you can expect about a two hour drive to Buckely Bay. Here you will board your second ferry to Denman Island, and then finally on to Hornby Island. Make sure you have your accommodation booked in advance if you plan on visiting Hornby, because there is very limited availability and you don’t want to get stuck with nowhere to stay!

Even though it is a bit of a trek to get here, it is 110% worth it! This little BC island has some of the most insanely beautiful nature I’ve ever seen. The weather wasn’t the best for our visit but the island itself was still seriously impressive. I can only imagine how incredible Hornby Island would be on a beautiful sunny day!

This epic BC trip was also my very first time glamping! We stayed at a gorgeous spot called Fossil Beach Farm, where your “tent” is literally right on the water. I woke up every morning to birds chirping and felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. Definitely would recommend checking out Fossil Beach if you are looking for a unique glamping experience on Hornby.
