Hey guys! Hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I wanted to share this super simple outfit I put together for dinner the other evening. Like I’ve said before, I am totally a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. Right now I am really into oversized button-ups as well! They have a super-chic “I-just-stole-this-from-my-boyfriend” kind of look to them, which I think is killer.

The button up I am wearing here is from Brandy Melville, and my jeans are from Citizens of Humanity. (What else is new. Haha!) Check out other posts on my fave Citizen jeans here and here. Okay back to my shirt… Part of the reason I like this top so much is the cut along the hem. The way that it cuts up around your hips is super flattering. I find if the cut along the bottom hem of an oversized shirt is just straight, it is much less flattering and quite a bit less interesting. You know?

The shoes are from Shellys London (I picked them up at The Bay for those of you from Canada.) I love how simple and utilitarian they look. It makes them match with wayyyy more items in my closet, which makes life significantly easier (at least when it comes to getting dressed!)

Tell me… what is your favourite part of this outfit? I want to know!!

WEEKEND LOOK

Outfits

Hey guys! So I just picked up these slip on shoes the other day from Adidas, and I am never taking them off. Like…. so in love. These shoes, ripped jeans, and a comfy sweater are my weekend go-tos. I have been lazing about in this all weekend long haha! Sometimes it is so nice to just get cozy and relax.

In other news, I have been doing lots of research lately on the best kind of supplements to take for optimal skin health. I am big on wrinkle prevention, because it is much easier to prevent a problem from happening than it is to fix a problem once it has already happened. This week I will begin to share with you more on what I do to make sure my skin is staying healthy, and how I prevent wrinkles from forming. I am pretty stoked about this subject right now so I can’t wait to share with you all! We only get one body, so we might as well treat it the best we possibly can. 🙂

Okay there is a big hockey game on soon, so I am going to go get ready to watch! The NHL playoffs are one of my favourite times of year. It is so fun to get to cheer for your city’s team. And nachos, because nachos are the best and they are usually involved when you watch a sports game. Really I am just there for the nachos. 😛

A bit of a mixed post today for you! I love to check in and keep you guys in the loop with whats going on in my world. Hope you all had a great weekend. <3

Absolutely loving sheer things lately! There is something so sexy about them. Just can’t get enough! Wearing something sheer will also be great when summer comes, and it is boiling hot out. I mean, I am talking strict functionality here people. 😛 Lol the lies I tell myself.

Anyways, I wanted to fill you guys in on something. I have been getting lots of requests lately for new workouts! Sooooo you asked, and you are going to get it! I will be shooting some new at-home workout routines for you soon. I love sharing my workouts because then we can workout together! It is always better when you have a bit of a support group going, no?! 🙂 While you wait, you can stay fit with these two Skinny Belle workouts: here, and here. So stay tuned! Good stuff is on its way.

Love you guys <3

The t-shirt dress. I am all about it. They are so versatile and look cute pretty much no matter what. I picked up this oversized t-shirt dress at Oak + Fort in Vancouver. The main thing I like about it is how many different ways it can be styled. The options are limitless! I will probably do another post on this one soon showing you guys how you can style a baggy t-shirt dress more than one way. 🙂

Also…. hello 90’s!!! The chocker is back and I am stoked about it. There is something so hot about them. I don’t even know what it is but I am into it haha. The one I am wearing here was picked up at Brandy Melville. I got this one because I literally had the same one in grade 5 or something and I mean… #tbt right?! Haha! So much fun wearing this necklace. Such a great throwback.

Okay so you guys know I am a sucker for great deals. I got my bag at Danier Leather (so random, I know) at a major sale they were having. I happened to have an hour to kill at the mall and randomly went in and got this beautiful baby for like 60% off!!! Needless to say, I was a happy happy girl.

Today is Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday… and yay weekend! What are you guys planning on doing? I will probably go skiing again (there’s a shocker lol.) Tell me in the comments what your weekend plans are! 😀

My committed relationship with Citizens of Humanity has continued. How they made a pair of jeans that manages to fit me this well is seriously impressive. Hence why I keep buying new pairs of the same fit…. lol. If you couldn’t guess already these are the signature cut of jeans I wear called Rockets. And we will be besties for ever and ever and ever. 🙂

Ripped jeans are one of my major essentials for spring. They are such an easy piece to wear and they add a bit of excitement to any outfit. For example, really all I am wearing today is a t-shirt and jeans (duh.) But, wearing ripped jeans just gives the outfit that little extra bit of je ne sais quoi. Jeans and a t-shirt are one of the sexiest looks to me (yea I can be kinda country sometimes 😉 .) I think when you feel comfortable you always look the most beautiful. So, wear what makes you feel comfortable and you will glow like the queen that you are!

My t-shirt is so cozy. It is a bit hard to tell in the photos but it is this gorgeous soft knit material. (Again, spicing up a classic.) I picked this one up at Aritzia in Vancouver. White tee and ripped jeans? Love love love it.

And finally, the footwear. These shoes mean business. I am super into big chunky shoes at the moment, and these are definitely big, and they are definitely chunky. It isn’t often you say you want something big and chunky… lol am I right?? But ya anyways, into this look right now. My kicks are by Woolrich, and they are actually made of woven wool.

Okay so talking about sexy again… what do you guys think is the sexiest look? Are you more a casual kind of gal or do you like glam more? I think switching it up and keeping people guessing is always exciting 😉 Let me know what you think in the comments below!

NEUTRAL COLOURS

Outfits

These beautiful creamy colours are killing me! The eggshell/white/brown tones… *yum*. Throughout the winter I am totally guilty for dressing in an all-black uniform all the time. It just seems safer with all the rain and gross weather haha. Now that things are starting to warm up a bit here in Vancouver, I have been more than happy to break out lighter shades. When it comes to spring outfits, I am all about neutral colours. Well if I am being honest I usually just wear neutral colours all year round. By neutral colours I mean grey, white, eggshell, cream, black (if its winter), and whatever other shades I am missing here haha.

The reason I like to keep my closet to mostly neutral colours is they tend to create the most classic looks, and more importantly you can wear them more than once. If I buy a really bright and colourful top, I will probably wear it once (maybe twice if I am feeling bad) :p When I buy a piece that is a neutral colour, I will mix and match it with all my other neutral colours and wear it many times! That is why I recommend buying as many neutral coloured clothing pieces as possible. It just makes putting something together in the morning that much easier. That being said, obviously a sista needs to go wild once and a while and add some bright and vibrant pieces to her closet. You know??

Alright guys, on to what I am actually wearing. Both my dress and my jacket are from Zara! To be honest I never started shopping there until I went to Spain and discovered the Zara there…. sweet jesus is it ever amazing. Everything is sooo much cheaper and there are so many more options. Anyways that experience opened my eyes to shopping at Zara in Canada, and I actually really like it! My favourite part of this outfit is the jacket. It is a perfect “between season” spring jacket. Totally going to rock it with some ripped jeans soon.

As for my shoes, I am IN LOVE (yes, l-o-v-e) with these right now. They are so freaking comfortable, and they match so easily with most things in my closet! Again, waddup neutral colours. I can’t actually remember the brand right now…. (awkward my bad) but I will check when I get home 🙂

Do you guys prefer neutral colours like me, or are you more into bold and bright colours?! Let me know in the comments below <3

Hi everyone! So I basically had the best weekend of all time. I had my birthday party with friends, and it was honestly one of the most fun nights out I’ve had! Thanks again to everyone who came, you guys made me feel so special and I love you all lots and lots and lots 😀

Andddd this is what I wore! I am so obsessed with this top by Free People right now, it is probably not normal but whatever haha. It is so whimsical and hippie looking, it really is making me look forward to the summer time. In the summer I have a tendency to go full hippie… well not actually full hippie, but you get the point haha.

My jeans are the pair of Citizen “Rocket” jeans that I basically live in. They fit like a glove and are ohhhh so comfortable.

Today I am going to do some chores, and whip up some recipes to share with you guys! Lots of my fave recipes are coming soon… so stay tuned!

I found another jumper that fits my outrageously long body!!! This is big news in my world. (Really.) Do you guys remember one of my first posts where I talked about how much of an issue it is to be tall and to find jumpers that fit? Well, here’s another jumper outfit I wore in case you missed it. There is also some more awesome whining about being lanky in the one too. 😉

This jumpsuit is seriously so cute. I love how sheer it is! It will be really nice in the summer. The back of it is basically completely open, which is one of my favourite things about it. I’m not sure why but I am obsessed with anything that has an open back. I think it just looks so glamorous, and can make a relatively simple outfit look very beautiful.

It has been a gorgeous sunny weekend here in Vancouver! I started my birthday celebrations early this weekend with a big family dinner on Saturday night. It was such a fun night, and I am so glad that I got to spend it with my fam jam! <3

Have a great sunday night my loves!

BLUE JEAN BABY

… “BLUE JEAN BABY, LA LADYYYY!” (<– Sung exactly like Elton John. Because Elton John is awesome.) I honestly barely understand 90% of the music we listen to these days. Benny and the Jets is just so much better, in every single way. Mainly because there is actual singing, and an actual band, and not just techno beats. Okay anyways that is enough of my random rambling for today. Back to the actual point of this post, my outfit!

Throughout the winter in Vancouver, this is basically my uniform. Almost every single day I wear a pair of comfy jeans (whichever are cleanest/closest lol), an oversized sweater, and some sort of leather boot. It’s easy, I don’t have to think about it, and I like to think that I look semi put-together.

My boots were purchased at a small shop in Milan, where I have actually bought quite a few other pairs of shoes. It is honestly the best store, and the prices are unreal! Can’t actually remember the name but if I am ever in that neck of the woods again I will be sure to take note for you.

The sweater is from Zara, and just guess how much I paid. $20!!!! Yea that’s right, winning. I am such a deal hunter sometimes I think I have a bit of a problem. Sales get me every time.

My sunnies were purchased at a vintage market in Croatia this summer! Even just wearing these sunglasses makes me miss traveling. Maybe it’s time to book a trip soon… hmmmm. *Opens up Expedia to look at flights*

And finally, my jeans are from my fave brand, Citizens of Humanity! They are stretchy, and comfy, and always just seem to fit me right. I love when you find a brand where everything they make seems to fit perfectly!

Hope you guys all had a great weekend! Lots of love <3

This weekend we went on a very Canadian adventure… off-roading in the mountains up in Kelowna, BC. I absolutely love to get outdoors and explore, so much fun.

If you follow me on Twitter, you might remember that I mentioned I found a really cool French company a few weeks back. Well, my order came in and I can finally share my awesome discovery with you!!

See my fab new glasses? Well, I found them from a little online shop called Polette. They are French, they are chic, and I am in love. Polette’s concept is spot on. They are all about making high quality glasses (and sunglasses… summer is coming!!) without the nasty price tag. They are an online store, and they ship worldwide!! Yes, for once Canada is not left out. I am always so happy any time a company offers worldwide shipping haha.

So, what is the magic behind Polette’s low prices and high quality? They are the only intermediary between their factory, and the end customer. SMART. And, they have a huge selection of all-original frames, which I spent far too long browsing through. Minutes turned into hours and then there I was at the checkout! 😛 Want to take a look for yourself? Click here to see their range of styles (vintage, classic, retro… all the good stuff.)

My Polette glasses arrived just before I took off for the weekend, so obviously I rocked them the entire time. Totally in love with this brand right now. If you want to learn some more about my French crush (oui oui!!) check out their Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

What did you guys get up to this weekend? Let me know in the comments below! <3
